If you refer to the Google Map above, you can see that we have highlighted where you will be staying via and where you will be taking the bus () to get to the sports venues.

is where all the sports events are going to be held which is centrally located in the University of Sydney (USyd), except for swimming which will be held in UNSW.

The highlights the sights you might want to check out, such as Darling Harbour and our infamous Sydney Opera House.

The are for those art/history/museum loving people. It highlights everything from the Museum of Contemporary Art to the Australian Natural Museum.

The highlights...you guessed it, places to shop. You can see everything from malls to markets (if you stay over the weekend).

Sporting Venue


The highlighted boxes and pins are the areas in University of Sydney where sporting events will be held.

The B-Pin points to the bus stop you will need to get off. And the ☪Pin points to where the praying room is for daily and Friday prayers.

Transport Information

Sydney has a variety of public transport for your convenience. With frequent stops to just about everywhere you would want to go in the city, you can never go wrong with with either one of them. You can choose from getting around with taxis, buses or train or even ferries.

Sydney Buses/Railway

To get to University of Sydney, all delegates must head towards bus stops at either Castlereigh Street or Pitt Street. Delegates should catch any 42X buses to lead to City Road side of University of Sydney.

To get to University of New South Wales, all delegates must head towards bus stops at Liverpool Street, near Hyde Park. Delegates should then catch any 39X buses to lead to Anzac Parade of UNSW. Timetable of bus services can be accessed at http://www.131500.info/realtime/default.asp

How To Ride the Bus?
Most CBD bus routes are prepay only from 7am to 7pm on weekdays. It is highly recommended that participants purchase a TravelTen(Blue) to get around. TravelTens can be purchased from most convenience stores or newsagents with the prepay flag. Here is a list of stores that sell Prepay tickets. For more information, go to
